This course introduces students to the structural and functional organization of the human body, with a focus on systems critical to prehospital care. Emphasis is placed on the integumentary, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems. Through interactive lectures and lab-based learning, students explore how these systems maintain homeostasis and respond to injury or illness. This course will also introduce students to the fundamentals of pharmacology including general pharmacological principles and emergency medications. This foundational knowledge equips future paramedics with the anatomical and physiological context needed to assess and manage patients in dynamic environments.
